you said "The Red Mango smoothie was WAY too sweet (it looked like they used a simple syrup to make the smoothie blendable). If Red Mango’s selling point is being the healthier alternative, they should use water or milk to blend the smoothie instead."

no they use yogurt to blend the smoothie.. they use the yogurt that they pour into the machine, the non frozen yogurt. they add nothing but yogurt and the toppings, no sweeteners no anything. i work there i know

i've never been to the bleecker location but i do know that the chelsea location on 14th and 6th is wayyyy more generous with the toppings. i like how there's also a large seating area in that location, too.
anyways, i LOVE red mango! i like to order the 'swirl' :D

simply the BEST!!!! My favorite is plain.
I love it. It seems healthier. I cannot eat the other chemical smelly yogurt.
It seems a bit expensive but I think it is worth it.

I love Red Mango and go all the time but the size of the hole in the medium is unacceptable. I never ask them to fill it because as much as I love their yogurt, the people who work there are mentally slow.

I don't know about you guys, but Red Mango definately has the tart and creaminess, more so than the other yogurt places i've tried, like pinkberry, yolato and even the knockoffs. Red Mango is healthier and maybe that's the reason why it might not taste as good to some people, but I think so far it's the best one out there. And where do you get the idea that it tastes more powder-y? maybe cuz it's creamier? and asian grocery smell? wth do you people smell when you go there? Red Mango might taste very asian, but it's definately what yogurt should taste like. To me Pinkberry tastes like some sort of weird frozen sprite and definately not yogurt. And why complain about 5 blackberries? I've been to a Pinkberry where they gave me 5 raspberries and 4 blackberries.

I think without a doubt Red Mango's creaminess has started to affect Pinkberry. Pinkberry at first was really icy but has started moving more towards TCBYness consistency.

Let the yogurt wars continue.

You did side note this, but I think it's worth re-enforcing: The Red Mango I get from Bleeker is definitely not that tangy. If Pinkberry rates a 2 in the tangy, then Red Mango is probably a 4. The rest I think you're right on about, including the final score. Pinkberry is to me better tasting, which is not to say Red Mango isn't in the rotation (primarily, and perhaps sadly, cause it's a healthier product)
